Agnes' s name is of Greek descent and translates to "pure", which is perfect given her innocent and childlike nature. Edith's name is from Old English and means "war" which hints her fondness for destruction and love of Gru's weapons. Margo's name is Greek for "pearl" (and the Greek word for pearl is "margarites"), which could allude to the type of glasses she wears are pearl.It's a subtle clue that Margo, Edith, and Agnes are not blood related siblings, but it isn't important because they all spent time together and act like sisters. If you notice carefully, the girls were never referred to as "sisters" in the first film by each other or even Miss Hattie.Elsie Fisher (Agnes) is the only blonde of the voice actors. With their voice actors, Miranda Cosgrove (Margo) is still brunette, but Dana Gaier (Edith) is also brunette. Margo and Agnes are the brunettes and Edith is is the only blond. A funny Fridge moment when you consider the hair color of the girls and their voice actors.And thirdly, something that he probably didn't want to acknowledge at first: They gave him the warmth and contentment of a family he lacked as a child. Well, all of them have different heights, different haircuts, either two eyes or one, have different jobs in Gru's lair, and each have a slightly different quirk from the others.But not because they indirectly helped steal shrinking device he's use to steal the moon but because he became the parent to his daughters that Marlena (Gru's mom) wasn't to Gru in his own childhood. In the end of the first film, the girls do help Gru get the respect he's always wanted from his mother.
DESPICABLE ME MINIONS NAMES LIST MOVIE
Since, Universal Pictures has announced the release of third movie of Despicable Me series in 2017, we can be hopeful to discover few more despicable me minions names. And here is minions names list with their respective physical features: No matter how hard we try, I don’t think it will ever be possible to know them all but the hunt for the names continues. If you know any other names beside the names above, please, let me know. The names I mentioned above are all the minions names I have managed to collect so far. But we have seen some of them dressed in female costumes, haven’t we? You might have noticed that all names are Standard English male names, which implies that there are no female minions. In 2015, in Minions movie, I managed to pick two more new names Norbert and Chris. In second movie, their population grew from few hundreds to few thousands but only handful of new minions names were mentioned Carl, John, Josh, Steve, Donny, Lance, Tom and couple more which I happened to forgot. They are Dave, Stuart, Bob, Kevin, Jerry, Tim, Mark and Phil.
In the first movie, only 7 minions were addressed with their names. Hence, with the limited combinations of physical features, minions look similar to each other and it is confusing to recognize individual minion even if you know all their names.
It seems that two eyed minions have usually centre-parted hair and tall ones have sprout-cut. They are either one-eyed minions or two eyed, either short or tall, either slim-built or fat and with the hairstyles they have 5 options (sprout-cut, buzz-cut, spikes, centre-parted and bald, yes! bald). Though there are thousand of minions, their physical attributes are limited. I doubt even the creator and directors of the movie and characters know all minions names. It is impossible to know the names of all 10,000 minions but it seems that Gru, the greatest villain of all time is the only one who knows all the minions by their names. There, I just mentioned 3 minions names and I will give you some more. The protagonists of the Minions movie are Kevin, Stuart and Bob. Minions were the supporting characters in these movies but their rising fame got them their own movie, Minions in 2015. More than 10,000 minions were noticed during the promotion of Despicable Me 2 in 2013. They are the minions, from the Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment movie, Despicable Me. In 2010, new names were added to the list of animated characters.
